2024 · San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance · Lead UX Designer
_____________
Redesigned the organization’s dedicated digital newsroom, uniting multiple outdated microsites into a single, responsive platform. Led UX strategy, created the full architecture, and designed the visual identity and interactive prototypes. Partnered with internal stakeholders and developers to build a cohesive experience that improved credibility, streamlined publishing, and better served journalists, researchers, and the public.

Challenge

The organization produced strong content, but it was scattered across multiple legacy, non-responsive microsites. This fragmentation led to inconsistent branding, disjointed navigation, and made it harder for users to connect with stories. External audiences struggled to locate and access information, while internal teams faced publishing bottlenecks that slowed distribution.
Solutions & Outcomes

Conducted user research, mapped key user journeys, and built responsive wireframes. Unified scattered content into a central hub with clear structure and consistent visuals. Improved public access and internal publishing efficiency.

Various development stages including sketches, research, wireframing, prototyping, and UI design.
